Faux Finishing and Distinctive Painted Finishes

Faux finishing is one our greatest strengths. As master faux finishers we can produce many varieties of exquisite Faux Wood, Faux Marble and Semi Precious Stones i.e.; Lapis, Malachite, Faux Tortoise and other exotics. We also work in Metal Leafing as well as many other types of painted finishes for furniture and interiors.

Our approach to Faux Finishing is drawn from history. It is an effect when well executed can deceive even the most discerning eye. We still use old school methods and have not succumb to the commercial approach to fine faux finishing.

Principal artist, Kenneth Salowe, established Wonderfaux Walls, Inc. In 1984 as a trailblazer in the all but forgotten art of faux painting and maintains an outstanding reputation as a master faux artist. “I did not know of anyone who did this type of work back then and wanted “faux” to be in the company name for obvious identity reasons. As time went on we evolved into so many areas of decorative art and architecture, the “faux” in Wonderfaux became much less than the impression of our capabilities, thus K. Salowe & Co. was born.”

Our work takes us all over South Florida. At K. Salowe & Co. we find ourselves working in many of the communities in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Palm Beach Island and West Palm Beach. Our company has also completed projects in Weston, Parkland, Coral Springs, Davie and Southwest Ranches. K. Salowe & Co. has done numerous condominium projects at Williams’ Island, Aventura, Porto Vita, Fisher Island, Sunny Isles and the Las Olas area of Ft. Lauderdale. Highland Beach, Golden Beach and Manalapan are really beautify areas to work. Miami is getting to be so dense it can be challenging to power thorough the traffic but we have completed many beautiful interiors in Miami Beach, Star Island, Palm Island, La Gorce and South Beach.
Our crew is willing to work anywhere we are needed and loved. We are so grateful for all of the opportunities we have had over the years. Working out of town and throughout the state of Florida is an adventure for us. We have traveled for a few projects in New York, Chicago, Central America and the Middle East. Even though we do glorious work, I regard K. Salowe & Co. as a service business and making people happy is what we are all about.
